Super Recurve Bows

Designed around a unique combination of advanced materials and innovative engineering principles, the Super Recurve delivers exceptional speed. Depending on configuration, it can achieve 30–40 fps (feet per second) more arrow speed than conventional hunting recurves, placing it among the fastest traditional-style recurve bows available today.

The Super Recurve is offered in both ILF and Hunting configurations, with limbs also available separately. One of its most remarkable characteristics is its exceptionally smooth draw cycle and comfortable holding weight at full draw.

What makes this achievement even more impressive is that the bow maintains its smooth draw characteristics even in shorter configurations. For example, a Super Recurve built on a 23-inch riser provides a softer and smoother draw than many conventional Olympic recurve bows built on a 25-inch riser. Compact dimensions therefore do not come at the expense of shooting comfort or draw quality.

Perhaps the most surprising accomplishment is its ability to compete directly with Grozer’s highly innovative Locus Crab system. The Locus Crab is a unique dual-limb recurve design that incorporates certain characteristics commonly associated with compound bows, including a degree of let-off while maintaining extremely high arrow speeds.

With this bow we continue a “lost branch” of recurve bow evolution—one initiated in the 1930s by Eicholtz, Miller, and the Hungarian Kálmán Jakus. However, following World War II, modern laminated bow manufacturing shifted toward unidirectional (UD) fiber materials, leading to more conservative recurve designs. Consequently, after 1948, the evolution of the modern recurve—driven by Fred Bear and the influence of ski manufacturing lines—became simplified (or, arguably, regressed). Because UD fibers are prone to twisting, manufacturers opted for safer, shorter recurve profiles paired with longer limbs. We revisited a historical fork in the road to explore what might have happened had a different path been taken; the result is the Gózer Super Recurve bow. These limbs are lighter, shorter, and significantly faster than the limbs commonly used today.

The 19″ riser is too short, because the limbs are also short. 21″-23″-25″ risers are good. You have to look at the total length of the bow. So if a 19″ riser with an average limb is good for you, then the 21″ or 23″ from the Super Recurve bow will be the right length for you. With the 23″ riser, the total length of the bow will only be 58 1/2″.
The Hunting version does not have ILF limbs, but either pin or tilt. (which is my own idea)
The angle of the riser end is steeper. These are faster.

If you want a shorter bow, you don’t need a shorter riser, since the limbs are shorter.
But if you want a longer draw length, you don’t need a longer bow, since the draw length of a 58 1/2″ Super Recurve bow is longer than a 64″ standard bow. So it’s enough if your max. draw length is the consideration.
